Today was the Admitted Students Reception at USC. We went to check out the campus and to hear more about the program...just to see exactly where our thousands of dollars are going.
The Health Sciences Campus is very close to home! It was only about a 25 min commute via surface streets from my parents' house. This is where I will be spending my days this summer...makes me kinda nervous to dive head-first into the program. But I suppose there's no other way to do it *shrugs*

The main campus is a little farther away. It's kind of weird to think that this school sits in the middle of LA...doesn't really feel like Southern California to me when I look at the architecture. I guess that's nice.
We had lunch here! Everyone got chicken breast topped with a cream sauce, mashed potatoes, asparagus and baby carrots. The vegetarians got cheese enchiladas...yippee..!I wish I had a chance to snap a few pictures of the sweet marching band that came in after lunch. They played the fight song...really gave the reception a sense of occasion (and woke my dad up because he was dozing off as the faculty spoke). I'm really glad I attended the reception. I think today really helped me not only reaffirm my career choice, but also be really excited about the different ways I can implement Occupational Therapy and maybe even contribute to Occupational Science.
This is definitely the right thing. I feel it.
